Avenue Magazine Interview to Rodolfo Valentin

June 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Avenue: Why do you think that your hair extensions have been recognized as the most famous hair extensions in the world today?

RV: My hair extensions have been recognized and respected worldwide as first and foremost, they are known for being the only hair extension to not cause any damage to the wearer’s natural hair.

Avenue: How long have your hair extensions been available within your salons?

RV: I originally looked at creating my own hair extensions at a time when they were not readily available on the market during the early 1980’s. Due to the lack of hair extensions on the market I was left with no choice but to create my own version of extensions.

Avenue: Would you say that the hair extensions you first created embodied the same look that today’s hair extensions possess?

RV: The hair extensions that we see in today’s salons have been dramatically improved by current technology but although my first hair extensions were created by hand, I feel that they were of a fairly high standard compared to newer brands of extensions.

Avenue: We noticed when visiting your hair extension salon in New York City that you have a number of hair extension brands available to your customers, yet you continuously advertise your trademarked Hair Infusion extensions. Do you do this simply because they are your own brand or for any other reason?

RV: When it comes to applying hair extensions to a client’s head, all brands are the same in terms of the cost, etc. However, the one big difference is how healthy their natural hair will be from wearing the extensions and my techniques are famous worldwide in regards to promoting healthy hair. I did not enter the hair industry for monetary reasons, but because hair is my passion and has been for the past 40 years. I have no intention of retiring from this profession as hair is my life and as long as I live a healthy life, I will continue to promote healthy hair!

Avenue: We have noticed the huge following you have, all of whom appreciate your passion for hair and so we took the opportunity to speak with some of them. All of them stated that you are the only hair stylist that they would trust with their hair and that they would follow you across the globe in an attempt to have you do their hair. One of them specifically commented that anyone who does not agree with this is blind or simply, out of their mind!

RV: I truly appreciate the recognition from my clientele and deeply feel their love and admiration for my work. I have clients who travel to New York just for us- even from far locations such as Dubai, Mumbai, London, Paris and Rome. That is in addition to the clients who reside locally to our salons. We also have a number of models and celebrities from Los Angeles on our clientele list. The most recent to visit us was just a week ago, the top model Alisar Ailabouni, who purposely flew from Frankfurt to have her hair done by me for a photo shoot and a television program.

Avenue: We also noticed that you are a female hair loss specialist?

RV: Hair loss replacement in addition to hair color and hair extensions is a principal area of my expertise. I designed the first hair prosthesis for my mother who was suffering hair loss as a result of chemotherapy treatments and since then, I promised her that I would continue to design products to help those who suffered from hair loss, including alopecia patients.

Avenue: Does your company create the hair prosthesis used for cancer patients?

RV: Yes we do. These are handmade and can be custom made depending on the type of hair loss product selected. Some of the pieces are created right here on the premises, whilst others are made by our technicians in Europe. We are the only company in the world who are producing these items in Europe for its actual cost in Euros, while other wig makers are opting to have them produced in Asia. Although these companies are cheaper, the level of quality of the hair pieces is much lower which is a great sacrifice to the wearer. I do not care about the costs I accumulate or if my profits are reduced due to the original cost. I only care for my customers’ satisfaction and confidence which is provided courtesy of my hair pieces, for my dear followers and for the respect that each and every one of them deserves.
