Follow on Google News | Oracle Corporation Principal Joins ScholaboScholabo, the home of private social networking for schools, has today revealed that former Oracle Leader Simon Moffatt will join the UK based start-up as Chief Technical Officer.
By: Paul Nelia "Simon brings a wealth of security, product development and process management experience to the organisation" Moffatt was previously an EMEA Leader for Identity Management and GRC at the software giant, having spent a decade working within security, infrastructure and consultancy roles for the likes of Sun Microsystems and Vaau. It is expected that his appointment will further galvanise Scholabo's position at the forefront of modern school to parent communication. Whilst at Oracle, Simon was a key component of a European strategy for their security, identity management and information compliance solutions. "After spending the best part of a decade working with many of the worlds largest companies to ensure the secure access of information, I can hopefully bring valuable insight to what is already a successful and thriving team at Scholabo" says the 31 year old. "The challenge people face in today’s information soaked society, is getting access to the information that is pertinent to them and parents are a great example of that group. They want the ability to access, view and interact with the news and decisions that are applicable to them, their children and their school, in a single place, easily and securely. Scholabo fills that gap, and I am looking forward to helping our schools to continue to improve the way they engage with their parent communities – and each other".
