June 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Once the number of cameras is confirmed, installation is the next task.  Well the quickest, simplest, and cheapest way would be to use RT3 directs Powerline convertors. Sound's complicated and a little techy right, wrong.. If you are using IP network security CCTV cameras it couldn’t be easier, simply plug the cat5 cable into the camera and the connect the other end into the Powerline Data Over Mains convertor. Plug this unit into a mains 230V AC power outlet and the network security CCTV camera's images are now being sent around the property using the mains power cabling as a transfer method.

After that simply plug in the second Powerline home plug into a mains 230V power outlet near to the router or cat5 wall outlet and again connect a cat5 patch cable from the powerline only this time to your router/cat5outlet and you now have a full data path from the camera to your router.

The powerline homeplugs have a clever little button on the side of them, simply press the both within a couple of minutes of each other and the powerline homeplug's pair together and your done!

If you have normal CCTV cameras you can do the exact same procedure but just add on a convertor called a "Balun" to change the cable from coax to cat5, these devices are very cheap and we sell them on our website at http://www.rt3direct.co.uk/cctv-security/pro-cctv/connect... should you need them.

The is the link directly to the powerline should you want to see what they look like!!

These units are also ideal for Playstation and Xbox internet connections where the games console is installed in a different location from the home hub. No need to run a cable.
