PBM’s Casino Royale Shines with Pre-Events, Partners and Promotions to Serve Area Youth!

Casino Royale shakes up Wash., DC with pre-events & exciting promotions leading up to the June 18th main event. The celebrity gala will raise funds for a dynamic youth program that offers arts programming, mentoring, & career & personal development.
 
June 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Casino Royale is the official DC gala event for the Visanthe Shiancoe Celebrity Weekend. Visanthe (Minnesota Vikings) will be Host for the evening and VIP reception, mingle with the crowd and be the official spokesperson for the event. He will be joined by a few special guests participating in the celebrity football youth camp (earlier that day). Visanthe and representatives of PBM will also appear on various media outlets leading up to the event.

The Royale Treatment Spa Social is a special pre-event for ticket holders, sponsors, celebrity dealers & VIPs . Royale Treatment is a pamper day where male and female guests are treated to manicures, hair services, pedicures, massages & make-up applications; as well as workshops, a trunk show and gift bags. Sponsored in part by Essence Magazine and THEARC, Royale Treatment also invites promo sponsors The Body Shop, The Art of Shaving, Vita Coco and more providing wonderful goodies for the gift bags!

The highlight of Casino Royale is our gaming tables with professional athletes and celebrity dealers to include: Lorenzo Alexander (Washington Redskins), Darnell Dinkins (Superbowl Champion New Orleans Saints), Traci Bingham (Baywatch Beauty, Actress and Model), Chris Wilson (Washington Redskins), Michael Newton (Buffalo Bills), Anwan “Big G” Glover (Famed DC musician and The Wire actor) Vince Oghabaase (Washington Redskins), with more to be announced.

To celebrate and involve longtime supporters of the organization, the event boasts an exceptional Host Committee. The committee members include: Angie Gates - Warner Theater/Live Nation; Chrystle Bibb; Chucky Thompson – Multi-Platinum Producer; Greg Yancey, Esq.; Rita Lewis - Discovery Communications; Ritza Yana – R.Y. Ink; Tiffany Press - Next Model Management; Vikki Johnson - BET; and Wendi Cherry – The Cherry Event Group.  Our illustrious event partners, on board to provide integral aspects to Casino Royale, include Destined 4 Success Management, Grandstand Sports and National Alliance of African American Athletes.

One of the features during Casino Royale is the Lesson in Luxury Fashion Show. The avant-garde, mini-showcases feature couture designers: Studio D'Maxsi (Steps to the Cure), Aidah Collection (Gabrielle Union), Natalia Sanz and Corjor International (Ean Williams - founder of DC Fashion Week). Clothes will be showcased by KIS Models and hair designed by celebrity stylist, Charlene Brown.

Other surrounding events have included a promotional party hosted by The Park nightclub (featuring a performance by Donell Jones) and a networking mixer hosted by the Black Professional Network (with a Grammy raffle package). Various promotions have been provided by the SMILE, TD Bank, and Washington Mystics. Our featured DJ of the event is the Legendary Chris Washington!

Powerful Beyond Measure: PBM is a 501c3 non-profit that implements efforts towards youth development; focusing on academic, professional, creative, personal, civic and social growth by strategically integrating the arts, entertainment, sports and media industries into programming. Our vision is to utilize these influential fields to reach the urban communities of our targeted youth, via creative and multi-dimensional services that will help positively shape young people and empower the adults around them to become active leaders and contributors. PBM is volunteer run and primarily funded by donations and corporate sponsorships. Founded in 2006, the organization began with its charter program, C.A.P.E. League (see below) – a multi-dimensional youth program. In 2007, we launched Exploring Possibilities, a unique career day for young adults to discover non-traditional professions.
