New Marine Fueling Option in Long Island Sound

June 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Santa Buckley Energy, through it wholesaler affiliate Inland Fuel Terminals Inc., is leveraging its waterfront petroleum terminal to offer direct marine bunkering for commercial vessels and yachts in Long Island Sound.  

Dennis McCarthy, Vice President of Santa Buckley Energy, explains how the new fueling service came to be.  “As a full service petroleum supplier, Santa Buckley offers truck-to-vessel fueling throughout New England. To improve efficiency, speed and availability we have added metered diesel delivery capability of high quality, low sulfur Marine Gas Oil (MGO) direct from our onsite petroleum storage tanks in Bridgeport.”

Located in Cedar Creek, Black Rock Harbor in Bridgeport CT, (N41° 9.9675', W073° 12.1949') the channel depth and water alongside the bulkhead is 18 feet at MLW.  The facility can accommodate vessels with LOA in excess of 350’.

Centrally located on Long Island Sound, Santa Buckley’s new marine fueling dock is the perfect bunkering location for tugs and commercial vessels transiting the Sound or operating from Connecticut and Long Island.  Said McCarthy, “We are excited to expand our marine bunkering services and we look forward to establishing relationships with new vessel operators.”

Santa Buckley is U.S. Coast Guard certified for marine fueling.   High capacity  potable water delivery and automated vessel booming are available at no extra cost.
