-- Audi is happy to announce best-ever March U.S. sales
Despite the slowly recovering economy, Audi has proven its threat against the competition. The German automaker recently reported its third milestone for 2011 – record March U.S. sales. Not only did this achievement mark the third-straight monthly record for 2011, but also the best-ever March in company history and the best first quarter of all time. Sales representatives at your new Audi dealer are extremely proud of this achievement, as both new and used Audi vehicles were included in the victory.
In March 2011, Audi recorded year-over-year sales increases exceeding 20% with five of its models: the A8, Q5, Q7, R8, and TT. The Q5 and Q7 crossover sales increased by 22.5% and 36.6% over March 2010 sales, respectively. Furthermore, due to increased availability and seasonality, the R8 and TT recorded a combined year-over-year sales increase of 56.9% compared to March 2010. Even the A5 recorded a month-to-month sales increase of more than 20% compared to February 2011 – despite limited availability of the model in March. Used Audi shoppers are encouraged to seek more information about any of these popular-selling models to find the perfect model for them.
Johan de Nysschen, Audi of America President, expresses his optimism for the year ahead: “Having ended 2010 on such a high note, it was important to ensure that we continue our momentum well into 2011. As first quarter sales figures clearly reinforce the notion that consumers are eager to drive the superior lineup of Audi vehicles, we are optimistic that 2011 will be another banner year for us.” Sales team members at you local new Audi dealer, Audi of Fairfield, share Nysschen’s optimism, and can’t wait to see how sales turn out for the rest of 2011.
