Your SmartPhone May Not Be Perfect After All

June 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Charlotte, N.C. June 7, 2011- As Apple and other leading manufactures fight to make products thinner, sleeker, and more portable, durability is often the first thing sacrificed during the design process. Consumers are beginning to notice this unfortunate trend in current electronics.

Cell phones seem to get more and more fragile with each new model. Remember the flip phone you had 6 years ago? It felt indestructible. You could drop it, throw it, step on it and it would continue making calls as if nothing happened. As the Cell Phone evolves, it gets thinner, sleeker and more fragile. The latest designs of smartphones often utilize a glass touch screen, susceptible to damage from a drop or other minor accidents. Apple’s iPhone 4 is a perfect example; the iPhone 4 was designed with glass on both sides of the device. This gives the phone a very unique look, however it makes the phone more vulnerable to damage. This digression from durability has created a lot of broken cell phones, which begs the question: What are smartphone users to do with their brand new device that is now broken?

Customers with a broken device can always take the broken phone back to the manufacturer, where they will be informed that their manufactures’ warranty does not cover accidental damage such as a broken screen or water incursion. The customer may then be given the option to have it repaired or replaced with a refurbished model, often costing almost as much as a new device. This repair process is often very costly and time consuming, causing many smartphone users to live with their broken device rather than have it repaired by the manufacturer and be without it for any length of time.

There is another solution to the problem, often unknown to smartphone users. The trend toward more fragile consumer electronics by Apple and other manufactures has created a unique market for third Party repair providers. UBreakiFix provides low cost iPhone Repair to customers with broken screens, water damage and anything in between.
