Summer launch of groundbreaking “pro club” Footee.com is revealed
A completely new version of the award winning football-themed educational site Footee will be launched later this summer - site creators MotivatEd Ltd revealed today.
New Footee is online gaming with a difference; its action packed football-themed activities link directly to the National Curriculum for 7-14-year olds – making academic learning interactive, instinctive and fun. Educational achievements are rewarded with in-game virtual currency that allows children to purchase virtual items.
A fast growing list of major UK professional football clubs are partnering with New Footee to offer their young fans a bespoke supporter experience, many of which will be available for users to select at launch.
Phil Clegg, Managing Director of Footee Ltd, said, “This new involvement of famous clubs has an extremely positive impact on the Footee experience. It allows children to express their club allegiances and like-minded fans to pool their talents - propelling their chosen team up the league table. The better a child performs, the better his favourite team does - it’s an innovative, emotive feature and the exciting sense of competition and camaraderie it creates really motivates users to improve their educational performance.”
www.footee.com, developed by MotivatEd Ltd, has established itself as one the leading educational social media sites for children, gaining over 160,000 registered users since its October 2009 launch and receiving over 7 million page impressions per month. Footee successfully motivates children to get healthy and learn National Curriculum skills via their love of football and gaming. The site provides a rich virtual world packed with educational content and an extremely safe place for children to socialise online. It automatically updates parents on their child’s educational performance and provides comprehensive lesson plans, activity sheets, and retrospective analysis data for teachers.
