Set in the beautiful historic Palmetto Bluff, the bride chose as her young attendants three page boys and two junior maids and one flower girl.   The ring bearers donned spun gold silk knickers, creme silk shirts and gold silk pearled and pin tuck vests.  Tying into the boys outfits and the Jr. Bridesmaids who wore gold dresses with pink silk sashes, the young flower girl wore a pale shade of pink silk called petal, also with pin tucks and pearls like the older girls and boys. The styles chosen were very classic and sophisticated.  In royal weddings, knickers (trousers to the knee) are usually worn by the boys, although that is an American term because in the UK, knickers means something of a more personal nature.  It was often that clothing for wealthy aristocrat's offspring (children), particularly royal children would be encrusted with jewels and pearls.  Never a better moment to celebrate than during a wedding, when children would be "paraded" in front of the bride to show the family's wealth.
