ExpatWoman.com are... calling Greenland!

July 6, 2011 - PRLog -- From launch, ambitions for ExpatWoman.com have been clear and over the past ten years, the site has achieved and maintained its position as the region’s largest English-language website for women, with hit rates regularly topping 20 million per month and unique visitor rates of over 200,000.  Although 80% of readers are locally-based, reflecting the wide range of local services offered, it is amazing to see where other readers are visiting from.  The top 10 countries readers are visiting the site from are, in order, the UAE, the UK, Qatar, the USA, Australia, Canada, India, Germany, Bahrain and France.

In fact, over the last 4 years there have been visits to the website from every country and territory in the world except for four- Greenland, North Korea, Western Sahara and Central African Republic. Greenland is, by area, the world's largest island that is not a continent, and the team at ExpatWoman are on a mission to reach at least one Greenlander!

The site is a huge support for newcomers from before they arrive, in addition to being a social barometer for a business world keenly interested in life in the region.  In May this year, 6,500 unique visitors viewed the site from London, and 2,000 each from New York, Texas and California.   This truly international picture supports the encouraging picture for economic growth in the region, headed by Qatar, with the fastest growing economy in the world in 2010 (EconomyWatch).  

Over 200,000 different people every month are using the ExpatWoman.com site and most return regularly either looking for information, to use the forum, to check for deals or jobs, enter competitions or look up the latest events listing.  

ExpatWoman hosts some 400 events a year to support and entertain the local community. To meet with the ever expanding demand from newcomers arriving, ExpatWoman has recently had to add two new weekly groups to offer a warm welcome and facilitate women meeting and making friends. They now hold ten meetings each week, and at each one, rarely a week passes without a newcomer joining.  During August and September the groups will be particularly busy helping newcomers find their feet.
