June 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Beginning Monday, June 6, 2011, 3-2-1 Acting Studios of La Crescenta and the Los Angeles area will be offering new master acting classes for teens and young adults to be taught by noted character actor, Cullen Douglas. Two master acting classes will be offered:  Building Your Acting Foundation  and  Master Scene Study .

“Ms. Mae and I have talked about the idea of being able to offer something deeper than cold reading and auditioning techniques,” says master acting class teacher, Cullen Douglas. The  Master Scene Study Acting Class  will focus on teaching students to bring themselves to the character, establish a magic connection with their scene partner, capture the audience both mentally and emotionally, and refine their acting with seamless acting techniques.

In the  Master Scene Study Acting Class , “Cullen Douglas really brought a level of depth to the scene for each of us to learn from, but in a positive group environment,” says Riley Beres, actress and 3-2-1 Master Student.

“After the first class, I was really excited to take the class again because I really liked Cullen. He’s a really, really good teacher. I was really kind of shocked at first about how real it was and how he had us stripping down our outer layers,” says Isabel Wing, actress and 3-2-1 Master Student. “I really liked it when he got me to cry. That was really cool. I cannot express how cool that was because I don’t cry that often.”

“ Building Your Acting Foundation  is really going to be focusing on the individual actor, their artistry, and where they are at. It is based on monologues that I will be creating specifically for each student based on their life experiences so that when they are called upon to deliver a monologue for an audition for a casting director or admissions into a college program. It’s going to be something that they are organically connected to,” says Cullen. “Just as a ballerina dreams of having a ballet written specifically for them, every actor dreams of having a monologue written for them, developed upon their strengths and their skill sets, and that is built upon their unique personality, says Ms. Mae, owner and director of 3-2-1 Acting Studios.

These new master acting classes for teens and young adults are available to students age 12- 27. Building Your Acting Foundation  will begin on Monday June 6, 2011. This ongoing acting class will be held on Mondays from 7:00-9:00 pm. The  Master Scene Study Acting Class  will be held on Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 pm.
