June 3, 2011 - PRLog -- According to rmiia.org, Motor vehicle accidents are the primary cause of death for 15- to 20-year-old boys and girls. In fact, the CDC reported that per mile driven, teenage drivers between the ages of 16 to 19 are four times more likely to get into an accident than older drivers. Students and faculty at Grapevine High School have sought to remedy this situation by creating a safety program called Project Graduation, which seeks to educate senior students on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse so that they will remain safe on the night of graduation and into their adult lives.

To thank the students for all of their hard work in the program, Project Graduation has teamed up with Main Event Entertainment and Texas Toyota of Grapevine for a lock-in celebration, where a 2010 Toyota Corolla will be donated to one lucky senior student. The party will be held at Main Event Entertainment in Fort Worth, located at 4801 City Lake Boulevard East, from 11:00 p.m. June 4th through 6:00 a.m. June 5th.

At Main Event, students will be able to take advantage of a variety of free activities, food and entertainment ranging from bowling to laser tag to a mind-bending performance by Hypnoron, a local hypnotist. At the end of the night, Texas Toyota of Grapevine will draw one winner to take home the 2010 Toyota Corolla.

“One thing I want everyone to know is that Texas Toyota of Grapevine contacted me to see if they could do anything for us,” Project Graduation President Bettye Heath said. “We are so thankful that they donated the car and we think that it will bring more kids into Project Graduation, which will help save more lives. All of the seniors of 2011 would like to give Texas Toyota of Grapevine a big thank you!”

In order to be eligible for the 2010 Toyota Corolla, students must stay at the event until the drawing, which will occur at 5:30 a.m. on June 5th. For 20 years, thanks to donations from local businesses, parents and civic organizations, this event remains absolutely free.
