Rising Gymnast Star Reiss Beckford Teams up with Firstaid4sport

Reiss who started gymnastics when he was 6 years old, has been taking part in a vast amount of highly regarded gymnastic events around the world, including the Commonwealth games in India and the Gymnastics England Championships, and is now aiming for a place to represent Britain in the 2012 Olympics.

Reiss’s career in gymnastics started when his talent was spotted by a coach at a young age. After years of commitment and training, at the age of 16 Reiss made the decision to train full time in order to compete both in the UK and internationally. Since then Reiss has become a rising star of gymnastics, being selected to represent Britain in a number of international events including the Olympic Hopes Competition, International Japan Juniors Competition and the U18 4-Way International Event. Most recently, Reiss took part in the 2010 Commonwealth Games representing Britain from which he took home 3 silver medals. Reiss’ other great achievements include being awarded The Young Sportsperson of the Year 2009 and The BBC East Young Sports Personality 2010. When Reiss isn’t busy winning medals and receiving awards, he spends the majority of his time training at the Essex Gymnastics Club in Basildon and often in international training camps.
