Attracting filmmakers, writers, fans, and celebrities, the AOF Festival will be featuring more than 600 independent films throughout its eight-day run July 22-30, in Pasadena, California.

"The Spirit of Isabel" is the story of a young woman named Isabel and the struggles she must face to get by in an economically collapsed Detroit. Out of work and all alone, Isabel turns to the streets as part of the world's oldest profession - prostitution. Refusing to give up faith and hope, Isabel faces the troubles of the profession as it becomes even more dangerous.

Action on Film director and creator, Del Weston, says 'Robert  Butler has told a story that is so heartbreaking, so vicious in its reality and brutality that it transforms into something beautiful, haunting, and sad. It is a must-see film.'

Weston goes on to say, 'the performance by the lead actress is nothing short of brilliant. Her facial expressions, physical interpretation, and manifestation of this role is one of the top acting jobs I've ever seen.'

The seventh annual Action on Film Festival will take place July 22-30 in Pasadena, CA. Featuring screenings, dinners, an award show, and a renowned red carpet event, the festival and celebration will attract hundreds of talented filmmakers, celebrities, and fans alike.
