In 1970, four musicians in the South Bay of Los Angeles came together to create an invigorating style of music. It explored the possibilities of progressive, classical and world influences, yet remained rooted with the soul of the blues and R&B, and a new sound was defined and recognized as Ambrosia.

Originally labeled as America’s answer to the progressive invasion of such English acts as Yes and King Crimson, Ambrosia quickly proved it was all that and much more as its albums painted aural landscapes covering the gamut of musical styles and attracted the collaboration of such cultural deities as Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., and Alan Parsons.

Today the band is more alive than ever with three of the original four members in tact and the addition of the very talented and inspiring David Lewis on keyboards.

“Live From Music City” reaches and appeals to singers/musicians who have achieved at least mid-level entry points in their careers. We try to help the artists define the steps they need to take to advance their careers.

We discuss a variety of topics through commentary and with guests to showcase their roles within the performing and recording industry. We also focus on the music business from the perspective of service to the artist, as well as how the artist can achieve the next levels of success.

While we concentrate on the roles of the “insiders,” we will also include recording artists themselves to better understand and explore the relationship between the two."
