June 2, 2011 - PRLog -- The Resting Place and its two companion pieces Autumn Sweet and Angel of Aachen make up Catalano’s three play collection Long Island Trilogy. The common factor in all three works is that they take place in Long Island, New York. Autumn Sweet, in 1960’s Huntington, The Angel of Aachen in 1950’s, Northport and finally the Resting Place in our own time period in the town of Franklin Square. The play’s story is both tragedy and comedy. Joey Fanellii, a successful Beverly Hills real estate agent is on the brink of committing suicide. His once prosperous and happy life is falling a part. His wife Calcutta is cheating on him, his oversized house is in foreclosure and he's about to be forced out of his job. He's about to end it all when he gets a phone call that his widowed mother, whom he hasn't spoken to in thirteen years, is in the hospital with a stroke. He has no choice but to go back home to Franklin Square, Long Island and see her. A journey that will change his life forever.
