Ashworth College Appoints New Academic Operations Manager
Ashworth College, a leading provider of accredited, online education programs, announced that Kelsha Abraham has been appointed Academic Operations Manager. She will manage the academic service advisor team, graders, instructors and grading staff.
A resident of Norcross, GA, Abraham joined Ashworth College in 2008 as an education specialist where her professional background in education and customer relations contributed to her being promoted six short months later to Graduate Education Supervisor. In her new role, she is responsible for managing the academic service advisor team, external contractors, graders, instructors and the grading administration staff.
Originally from North Augusta, SC, Abraham previously worked for both AT&T and Knology Broadband Inc. in several capacities including relay agent, escalations supervisor, trainer and coach. An entrepreneur, she is also the co-founder of a non-profit tutoring company focusing on improving standardized test scores in math across the state of Georgia.
John Riser, Program Director for Ashworth Career School commented “We’re excited to have Kelsha join the education team. She has proven herself to be a tremendous asset in her previous roles at Ashworth and I’m confident she will be successful in her new role.”
Abraham holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Upper Iowa University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Sciences degree from Clemson University. In her spare time, she enjoys black and white photography, reading puzzles and learning to play the guitar.
