Itchy Metal Goes Coast-to-Coast, Signing Miami's "Neurotic November"

June 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Globe-trotting is par for the course at the offices of Itchy Metal Entertainment. The Los Angeles-based indie record label has recruited several new acts across multiple genres, and continues aggressive prospecting throughout strategic territories both internationally and domestic.

“We’ve enjoyed some early success in taking IME abroad, but we definitely understand the strong influence state-side. There continues to be high potential from our domestic artists and partners and in order to accomplish our long-term goals, we just can’t restrict ourselves to the west-coast,” explains Ed Fassio, Itchy Metal’s President.

Up to this point, the label’s reach in the United States has included a majority of western acts propelling the start-up into fast recognition in music circles from San Diego to Seattle.  But with a company charter to increase national penetration, the team decided on the multi-cultural roots of southern Florida as the starting point for their east-coast invasion.  

Keeping an eye out for something that could introduce the label into new territory both on-stage and on the map, IME started discussions with the fast-tracking band “Neurotic November” in early May.

Formed in January 2009 from Miami, Florida, N.N. is a five piece band that takes stage energy to an entirely new level through acrobatic displays and members as diverse as their sound. If entrée to the east is a new direction for IME, so is the introduction of female musicians for the first-time on the roster.

The three “guys” in the band include vocalist “Dirty Dick” complimented by drummer “Cholo” and guitarist “The Over Achiever”. Conjoined with the female persuasions of Bassist “Bear” and second guitarist “Sushi” the band demonstrates a unique style of play and performance which has bonded the group. A synergy which they’ve taken from south Florida to Ohio where the band completed the recording of their first two singles: “I’m From the Sunshine State I Gotta Shine” and “It Always Rains in Gotham City”.

“This is a relatively new group, but the momentum and pace they’ve been able to create and sustain in such a short amount of time is really impressive,” states Fassio. “Their national foot-print extends well beyond Florida and their fans are nothing short of loyalists. Soon, their faces will host a billboard on LA’s Sunset Strip. They’re also very socially active and that’s an indispensable trait for any artist given the current state of the music business. This band proves their just as serious about making a real business impact as they are about taking their sound to a world audience.”

In addition to recording their initial release, Neurotic November’s resume includes opening for bands like Dr. Acula and Autumn Black and setting out for a multi-state tour in mid-summer 2011. Their buzz has landed them in the pages of “Music and Noise” magazine, “Unwound” Magazine and secured sponsorships with companies such as Rane Clothing, Uproar! Apparel and the MB Agency…(just to name a few). Initial plans with Itchy Metal include global distribution and cross promotional opportunities to further increase their fast-growing audience. This is definitely a band you’ll want to keep your eye on.
