He credits his musical influence to Jay-Z, Kanye West and other artists like J Cole. Vital was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and became interested in music at a very early age. He has been busy working in the studio on several upcoming singles including his latest single "looking Out." As a teen, he has recently been involved in community campaigns on preventing violence in the streets of Toronto and spoke out at the April 12th kick off press conference for the 2011 National Victims of Crime Awareness Week in Toronto's troubled Jane and Finch area. Vital encouraged his peers to avoid violence on the streets especially with regards to guns and gangs.
He recently filmed an anti-gang public service announcement at Seneca College at York University. This PSA is currently being used by community groups encouraging 12-14-year-olds to "know" their real friends and stay away from the temptation of joining street gangs. Vital also sang a cover song called "Changes" along with a video on YouTube depicting real images of Toronto's violent streets and encouraging other teens to stop the violence. Vital recently launched a web series depicting his journey in the recording studio as he records his songs and builds his budding recording career. The web series "Life is Vital" can be viewed on his YouTube channel as well as all his community projects and music videos. Vital is currently available for phone and in-person interviews through Keminications Public Relations.
