Man Made Diamond Engagement Rings

The diamond simulant is sometimes known as the CZ diamond, simulated diamond or the imitation diamond.  Diamond simulants are imitation diamonds because they are not the real thing.  They are manufactured in a process using rhinestones and particles of cubic zirconium, thus the term CZ diamond.  The finished product looks like a diamond but it can not have a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) carat rating.  They are what we consider as one of those fancy jewelry which are considerably cheaper than the real ones.  But they are not altogether useless.  Imitation diamond can be worn for day-today casual wear.  I don’t think it is advisable to wear a three-carat real diamond when you go to the wet market, to drive a point.  Likewise, CZ diamonds have industrial use, like for glass cutting in construction work.  To the jewelry industry, nevertheless, a CZ diamond ring can never be considered as one of the man made diamond engagement rings.

The synthetic diamonds, on the other hand, can truly be presented as man made diamond engagement rings.  Synthetic diamonds are genuine diamonds and only differ from the natural ones in the process by which they are created.    The man made and natural diamonds both have the same chemical composition,  however, where the natural diamond crystallization process took millions of years in the mountains, the man made diamond took less than a day inside a laboratory.  The process is similar, the difference is technology.  Therefore, man made diamond engagement rings are for real and can be sincerely presented as an engagement gift to a loved one.

Man made diamond engagement rings cost from twenty to seventy percent lower than the natural ones.  It would depend on the setting, size and rating of the stone. The man made diamond Apollo for example is one of the most expensive and perfect diamond in the market today.  Man made diamond engagement rings are also GIA rated through the four C’s of diamond appraisal; namely cut, color, clarity and carat.

Given the similarities of man made diamond engagement rings with the natural ones; I don’t see why a buyer would choose the latter when it is relatively more expensive.  Man made diamond engagement rings; likewise, don’t need to go through what is called the Kimberly Process.  This is a system created by mutual consent among countries who engage in the diamond trade to ensure that natural diamonds in the market are not “conflict diamonds” mined from the troubled spots of Africa.  Therefore, presenting a man made diamond engagement ring to your fiance also assures her that only love symbolizes the ring, and not some sinister history of blood and manipulation.
