FREE WiFi Broadband Network for 1000’s of Havant residents launching Saturday 18th June 2011

June 9, 2011 - PRLog -- After 2 years of planning and hard work, and with 60%+ of the Leigh Park area now covered CommunityUK.net, an official Raceonline 2012 partner, are officially launching their FREE WiFi Broadband service and their unique new Community Networking Portal with a fun family event at the Leigh Park Community Centre, Dunsbury Way, Havant on 18th June 2011.

The event, taking place between 10.00am & 2.00pm, will provide Leigh Park residents with all the information and help they need to get online with this fantastic free service and the chance to win an iPad and other computer equipment.  There will also be the opportunity for visitors to take part in a range of fun activities such as Wii Games, Arts & Crafts, Puppets & Stories, as well as the chance to find out about a wide range of services from local Councils, Community Groups, Colleges and various other organisations.

To continue the community theme, there will also be a Charity Raffle and cake sale on the day in aid of Havant Women’s Aid.
Attending the event will be a variety of local dignitaries such as David Willetts MP, Minister of State for Universities & Science, The Mayor of Havant, many other local & regional politicians, various newspapers, TV & Radio representatives and some surprise celebrity guests!

The CommunityUK service provides residents of Leigh Park with several high quality WiFi Broadband connection options that range from a up to 2mb service at NO monthly cost (single £3 sign up fee), to an up to 8mb service for only £7.99 per month.  There are no contracts involved, no need for a phone connection of any kind and registering for the service is all carried out automatically on-line with all services available 24hrs a day.  For those in without WiFi on their computers or in a weak signal area, CommunityUK can also provide a range of low cost solutions to get you quickly online.  Just look out for the CommunityUK WiFi signal in your area!
