May 31, 2011 - PRLog -- NEW YORK – May 31, 2011: INTERXION HOLDING NV , a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data center services, today announced that it will deliver two  seminar sessions on trends in customer cloud usage and how to optimize cloud connectivity at the 2011 Cloud Computing Expo East, June 6-9, in New York City at the Javits Convention Center.
Vincent in’t Veld, Director Cloud Segment, Interxion and Jelle Frank van der Zwet Cloud Marketing Manager Interxion  will lead the first session “Who Keeps the Cloud in the Air?” on Tuesday, June 7 at 1:35 p.m. During the session, they will explore insights from Interxion customers on cloud usage and adoption in European markets and what it means for U.S. companies looking to build an international footprint. The session will also cover results from a recent end customer survey that addressed the key issues facing enterprises using the cloud, including connectivity, availability and infrastructure requirements.
They will also discuss Interxion’s Cloud Hubs, which enable the operators of cloud computing infrastructures and applications to connect to other networks, service providers and the ultimate end users, providing a central location where networks meet, thereby reducing the cost of building cross-connects to other networks.
As part of the Cloud Perspectives track, the “Who Moved My Cloud..?” session delivered by Mark Cooper, Product Manager Connectivity and VAS  Interxion, on Wednesday, June 8 at 3:15 p.m., will address the importance of connectivity when it comes to the cloud and review the connectivity options available to cloud based  businesses to thrive. The session will focus on:
•   Cost optimization and how to design, buy or sell network capacity,
•   Performance and the importance of low-latency networks,
•   Revenue opportunities and how to extend coverage and reach more end users, and
•   Flexibility and how to be scalable while only paying for the resources you are actually using.

“Cloud computing is quickly changing the way companies do business and how they interact with their end users. As a result the benefits of transitioning to the cloud are becoming more apparent every day,” said Vincent in’t Veld. “Once the decision to migrate compute resources and applications to the cloud is made, it is essential to be mindful of key issues such as connectivity and scalability, and the importance these have in delivering superior end user experiences and increased market reach.”
The Cloud Computing Expo is a leading conference on cloud computing and covers a range of topics from infrastructure to application management to connectivity. To learn more about Interxion, please visit booth 110 at Cloud Expo, or visit www.interxion.com.
