May 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Deva Premal and Miten started their musical journey in 1990, performing an exciting mixture of mantra music and meditation. In the last 20 years, their groundbreaking music has won the hearts of many worldwide. They have stirred up the spiritual world and sold nearly a million albums.

Deva Premal & Miten

Deva was 20 and Miten was 42 years old when they met in India in 1990 at the Ashram of their Guru, Osho. Deva got to know buddhism and mantra as a child, while Miten came from the 60’s London rock scene. He worked together with artists and bands like Lour Reed, Ry Cooder, Fleetwood Mac and the Kinks.

Their first breaktrough album was the one titled „The Essence” released in 1998. This has been followed by many records based on mantra and spirituality.

Manose

Nepalese flute musician is well-known for his guest appearances, he has also released 4 albums of his own. Besides Deva & Miten he performed with Grammy nominee Jai Utall and bluegrass veteran Peter Rowan. He collaborated with the Chicago Children’s Choir, tabla player Swapan Chowdury and fromer Doors member John Densmore.

As a music ambassador for Nepal, Manose does a great deal of presenting his country and works to preserve Nepalese culture and values.
