So you have a what?

You have a website but what does it accomplish? Shouldn't it produce something? Time to put it to work! Here are a few ideas.

May 27, 2011 - PRLog -- If your website were an employee, based on it's performance, would you give it a raise? Would you give it more training or would you give it the boot? I have a feeling most would do the latter. So what can one do?  We live in an increasingly digital world. People depend on the internet for the majority of their news, music, social interaction and entertainment. Imagine a company you do business with telling you they had scrapped their website because they weren't getting much out of it. That's right, you'd assume they were going out of business. You have a few options for your website but unfortunately, getting rid of it isn't one of them.

You can always pay someone to update your site with new colors, banners, pictures and a YouTube video...but those are all things you have now. "New" is always relevant to the person who is interacting with your site. It's like running into someone you haven't seen in years and thinking 'man they look so different', but to their current friends and family they  look completely normal.

Another option would be to add a Facebook fan page and a "like" button to your site, maybe a twitter feed or a link to your blog. Nothing wrong with those things except that they don't make you any money and what's more, you can't think of a single person besides Mark Zuckerberg who's making money on Facebook. Just like Big Foot, you've heard about them but you've yet to meet one. I wouldn't spend a lot of time on that one but if you are so inclined, knock yourself out.

I want to present an option that you may not be aware of yet or at least haven't seriously considered to this point. My suggestion is that you put your website to work. Gainfully employ your website. How do you do that you ask? It's called iVo Technology.  iVo stands for Internet Video Overlay. An entrepreneur can walk out over their website in 3d video, outside the box and tell their visitors the greatest things about their company and how to buy them on their site. Its a simple plug and play website tool that can be installed in 30 seconds and it's the least expensive tool you'll ever use. Maximum exposure for minimum outlay. You may have seen iVo or something like it before but get ready because you're going to see a lot more of it. Much like Mobile phones, it'll take a while before everyone realizes they need one but realize it they will. Don't be the last passenger on board.

After 5 years of consulting with companies about their websites, I have yet to see a better website tool for holding a visitor's attention or getting them to respond. iVo grabs the site visitor the second they arrive and then like a store greeter, gives them that personal touch and directs them toward the experience or sign up or purchase. An internet video spokesperson is the fastest way to put your website to work without doing a thing to your site's content or design which are both time consuming and costly.

You can get an instant demo of this cool new product over your site and take advantage of  a 30 day free trial with no strings attached, (not even a credit card). Straight Edge Marketing research indicated that site visitors before iVo averaged less than 30 seconds but after iVo had been employed they averaged over 4 minutes for first time visitors with multiple page views. As site stickiness goes, that's a spider web. Put your site to work by giving visitors a reason to stay and something to do once they get there.
