May 27, 2011 - PRLog -- (St. Louis) – Carney’s Kids Foundation, a locally based not-for-profit group that raises money and awareness for children’s organizations, recently made a $10,000 gift for the May 27 end of the school year student celebration at Litzsinger School, Special School District.  This is the fifth consecutive year that the Foundation has been the primary sponsor.

More than 240 people attended the all day event, about 140 students between the ages of 5-14, plus school administrators and faculty, parents, and guests. The year-end celebration offered students a chance to meet famous cartoon characters like Woody and Buzz Lightyear of “Toy Story,” Hello Kitty and Snow White. Ronald McDonald started the festivities with a magic show. Students spent the day enjoying games, rides, great food and snacks, treats from an ice cream truck, crafts, face painting and general fun.

“Our Foundation is run by 100 percent volunteer support. The goal of Carney’s Kids is to raise money for groups, organizations and schools like Litzsinger that provide essential and necessary support for children in our community,” said John Carney, Carney’s Kids Foundation founder and president.

Carney’s Kids Foundation, a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, through public events and media exposure, provides financial support and creates positive publicity for not-for-profit organizations whose primary goal is to improve the lives of children.
