Wood Palace Kitchens announces the relocation of its second business, Cornerstone Granite & Marble, Inc. to Middleboro headquarters

May 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Wood Palace Kitchens, a premier cabinetry distributor representing select manufacturers and providing turn-key services for customers, is relocating its sister company,  Cornerstone Granite & Marble, Inc., to its Middleboro campus location at 7 Mill Road.

Cornerstone Granite & Marble, Inc., was founded in 1985 and acquired by Wood Palace Kitchens in 2009. It is well-known throughout the South Shore and South Coast of Massachusetts for the fabrication and installation of natural stone and man-made stone countertops.  The company has operated from a Raynham location since it was founded. Wood Palace Kitchens CEO Tim Holick acquired the second business and decided to relocate it to Middleboro, where he owns a second commercial building adjacent to the Wood Palace Kitchens showroom.

“We have the space and location and it makes perfect sense to bring Cornerstone to Middleboro,” said Holick, who said that the Raynham location did not allow for any further expansion. He said that there are a number of expansion plans and improvements planned for Cornerstone which he can now begin to implement with the newer, larger location.

One change that Holick will implement is bringing a CNC Granite and Stone Router into the operation, which will enable the manufacturing concern to double its production. At its former location, all countertops were created by hand. The machine, which is an investment of more than several hundred thousand dollars, will triple the company’s production capabilities, assisting Cornerstone in expanding its retail market. Cornerstone currently supplies all the granite countertop needs of Wood Palace Kitchens. Holick intends to greatly expand the company’s retail capacity. In addition to the new production equipment, Cornerstone will have a significantly expanded facility, with nearly 4500 square feet of operating room. Holick said that he is considering opening a second sales location for Cornerstone within the next year. He expects the Cornerstone operation to be completed by June 2011.

“We’re looking forward to having our sister company located here at our Middleboro complex,” said Holick, adding, “Maintaining a showroom and service presence for both companies essentially under one roof will make for a “one-stop” experience for all our current and future valued customers.”
