Real-life “Tootsie” charms Seattle with the city’s most unusual comedy show

May 26, 2011 - PRLog -- SEATTLE (May 25, 2011) Miss Anita Goodmann is a “real-life Tootsie” who has emerged from Seattle’s burgeoning burlesque scene to create a genre-defying comedy show that combines satire, comedy, improv, and burlesque into a never-before-seen theatrical confection.

The Season Finale of The All-New Anita Goodmann Experience wraps up her fifth season of the show.  This performance will be at the Rendezvous Jewel Box Theater, 2322 2nd Ave, in Seattle, WA on Thursday, June 9th, 2011 at 8:30 p.m.  Tickets are $10 and available at the door.

The All-New Anita Goodmann Experience takes the audience on a surrealistic romp through a world where the only rules are there are no rules. Free association, cartoon antics, gender bending, culture jamming, sampling, and pop culture lampoon are just the icing on this comedy tour-de-force.

The show co-stars Miss Cassie O’Hara and utilizes the talents of members of Seattle’s award-winning improvisational theater troupe Jet City Improv, nationally recognized stand-up comedians, and gifted performers from Seattle’s theater, performance art, and burlesque scenes.

Miss Anita Goodmann, is the brainchild of Timothy Thomas, a producer, writer, actor, and professional female impersonator who envisioned a character who “arrived in Seattle with a suitcase and an introduction letter.” Tim has spent his life being accepted as a convincing female, starting with fooling his own teachers at an elementary school Halloween party to his current career as a performance artist, provocateur, and comedienne.
