Industry Veteran Appointed Head of Sales and Marketing at BioPoint Ltd

May 25, 2011 - PRLog -- BioPoint today announced that Gerry Skews has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director of the company.

BioPoint was founded in 2009 to market specialist life science products in the UK through its online web presence and has grown to become a leading supplier of premier brand electrophoresis systems in the UK and across the EMEA region. Gerry Skews was an early stage investor in the company and helped to develop initial strategies, he originally worked as a consultant to the company but has now been appointed by the board to lead the full time sales, marketing and business development functions.

In making the announcement, the company's Chairman Richard F. Barker, said "BioPoint has shown great potential as a company that focuses on both quality and innovation in electrophoresis." He added "our company now needs to invest in expanding our name and reputation and Gerry is the obvious candidate to move the company forward, his experience and knowledge of the healthcare and life sciences area is already well documented and with new investment the company will be better able to extend its products and services in the market"

The company is planning to make important product and technology announcements in the coming weeks and this appointment is the first of several planned.
