Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP Elects Joel Mark to Serve as Managing Partner
Partners at Ventura County’s leading law firm, Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, recently elected veteran litigator Joel Mark to oversee the firm as Managing Partner. The election comes as the firm enters its 71st year as a full-service law firm.
“I am honored and excited to have been entrusted by my partners with the leadership of the Nordman firm's tradition of being trusted advisors to our clients and of being active contributors in all aspects of our community life,” said Mark. “I intend to apply my 38 years of experience as a lawyer and law firm manager to continuing to move the firm forward as a robust member of the Ventura County legal community."
Mark is a noted expert on ethics, former chair of the State Bar committee on attorney fee arbitration, past member of its ethics committee and currently serves as the State Bar’s Presiding Arbitrator. He has extensive law practice management experience, having served on the executive teams of his former Los Angeles regional firm and the Los Angeles office of the international firm of Baker & McKenzie.

Serving with Mark on the management team are long-time NCHC leaders including George, former managing partner Michael O’Brien and Tamiann Cook, part of the firm’s senior management team for 20 years and its Chief Executive Officer since 2002.
Mark received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and his juris doctorate at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He has held leadership positions with several professional associations and the California State Bar. He is past president of the American Youth Soccer Organization and a 2008 AYSO Hall of Fame inductee. He continues to serve on the AYSO audit committee, and is active in other community and professional activities.
