On May 30th we honor and remember our American soldiers that fought and paid the ultimate sacrifice in restoring freedom around the world.  

Memorial Day ushers in our memories of our soldiers and helps us to reconnect with the sacrifices they made for us and continues long into the rest of the year. An example of American sacrifice and fortitude came on the morning of June 6th when American and Allied forces hit several beaches at Normandy. Utah Beach received direct fire from the powerful 14 inch guns of the USS Nevada prior to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry landing.

Like this important landing and those experienced at Pointe du Hoc, Omaha, Gold Beach, Juno Beach and Sword Beach our US troops and servicemen brough the fight to the enemy so these European countries would enjoy their own freedom. Even today we still follow this mantra with the removal of oppressive leaders from Saddam Hussein to Osama Bin Laden.
