Devon based range cooker and wood burner specialist Rangemoors celebrates Rangemaster Design Centre
Leading South West range cooker and stove specialist Rangemoors have launched their new Rangemaster Design Centre at their Winkleigh showroom, Devon. It houses one of the largest selections of range cookers and wood burning stoves in the South West.
Based in the heart of Ruby Country, the event marked Rangemoors' new Design Centre, one of the largest in the south west. The Design Centre includes new models of Rangemaster, Falcon and Mercury cookers. Adding to the company's wide selection of Aga, Rayburn, Esse and Stanley cookers, Rangemoors' Winkleigh Showroom now houses more than 20 range cookers and 100 wood and multi-fuel burning stoves.
Open day visitors enjoyed celebrity chef James Knight Pacheco's energetic and unique demonstrations using the finest local produce. Of Raymond Blanc's The Restaurant programme fame, James showed the crowds how to get the best out of cooking on traditional range cookers using the produce on our doorstep. A selection of local producers were also on hand with tasty samples of their wares including fresh Dartmoor Farmers Association beef and lamb from Exeter and south west butcher Lloyd Maunder, while vegetables were supplied by F Milford & Sons. Other producers included Dunstable Ice Cream, The Black Farmer, Kingfisher of Brixham, Riverford Dairy, The Husbandry School, Hillside Country Food and River Exe Mussels.
Money raised throughout the day was donated to North Devon Hospice, the official open day charity partner and, as part of the celebrations, there were a selection of offers and competitions for visitors including a chance to win 2 places at Rick Steins Cookery School in Padstow, worth £400. The first 5 visitors to purchase cookers on the day also received a beautiful set of saucepans to accompany their new purchase.
Rangemoors' 6000 square foot showroom already houses one of the largest selections of cookers and woodburning stoves in the South West, offering customers the most cost effective and eco-friendly heating options to help heat and run their homes. Of the new Rangemaster Design Centre, Rangemoors Managing Director Andrew Baker said, "Becoming an official Design Centre is a great achievement for Rangemoors and enables us to offer our customers even more choice. We therefore thought a celebration was in order, giving visitors the opportunity to discuss the tremendous number of stoves and cookers we have on display with our expert staff, while enjoying a fun packed day of celebrity chef cookery demos, special offers and food and drink from local producers."
