May 23, 2011 - PRLog -- I am a single woman who can cook, but who at the end of the day is too tired or lazy to get it together to make myself a healthy dinner, much less breakfast and lunch.  Truth be told, I am a serial snacker.

So I decided to review some nutrition basics for myself to trim calories and to make every bite count. My blog " Know Food Now"  (http://www.knowfoodnow.com)  shares this information with you.

Food news and nutrition information is abundant.  Epidemic obesity and its impact on  chronic disease has caused the FDA, and many other research institutions, to publish guidelines for healthy eating patterns. Know Food Now sorts through these resources to share daily reminders for you to make healthy food choices.

The concept is to eat one nutritious food daily and consciously build healthy eating patterns that keep calories in check.  It sounds so easy, but like dieting, it is not easily accomplished.  Changing habits acquired through a lifetime, is hard work.
