PB3 Coaching Announces Training Camps for First Ever Ironman 70.3 Event in Ireland!

May 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Ironman is one of the most rigorous triathlon events in the world.   Yet curiously, Ireland has never actually held an Ironman.

This is despite the fact that dozens of Irish triathletes have competed in Ironman  and half Ironman (70.3) events around the world!

Now at last Ireland will have its own Ironman 70.3 event on 4th September, 2011!

PB3 Coaching, a leading triathlon training group in Ireland,  in association with E&R Events, local events partner to the Ironman 70.3 Galway event, is poised to help prepare  the nearly 3000 registered participants for the event.

Peter Kern,  Head Coach of PB3 Coaching, says "we are very excited about our role in offering training camps and plans to all the participants in this year's race and those preparing for Ironman 70.3 Ireland 2012!

According to Kern, training camps are a really useful way to prepare for the event and ensure athletes reach their personal best (PB), helping with building your training and races before September so you peak at the right time!  

Peter said, "In a week that will see the visit of Queen Elizabeth II and President Obama to  Ireland its great to see the Ironman event coming to Ireland and we hope to play our part and are announcing our next Training Camp in Galway on 18th and 19th June and further camps in Dublin and Galway throughout the summer!"

For those still interested in taking part in the event, unfortunately  registration is closed.  However you can still take part for charity in either the Croí  Relay or the Team Duffy Challenge.
