May 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Lip Gloss Teen Magazine has done it again! This sassy new publication for minority teen girls has hit the waves with a stylish, colorful and positive new issue. Issue 6 features talented vocal artists Elle Varner and Andrea Lewis along with writer and teen sex educator Shannon T. Boodram.  This latest issues also features a first ever male interview with Latin artist Prince Royce.

While Lip Gloss is primarily targeted at the 13-18, US minority female population; it has proven to have a universal appeal. With 27,000 readers from six continents and every imaginable ethnicity, the Lip Gloss name is hot on everyone's lips. Teens appreciate the realness and variety of the articles. From beauty tips and fashion spreads to spirituality, politics and boys, Lip Gloss talks about the topics that interest teens in the language they speak.   And, it’s not just readers who are commenting, Lip Gloss has generated buzz behind the scenes where the magazine's success is creating excitement.

“I want to start by saying thank you once again for having Elle be a part of next issue of Lip Gloss Magazine. The shoot was amazing. Your young professional ladies have done a great job. They vibe with Elle really well.” - Jason D. Hobdy, MBK Entertainment.

Executive Editor, Dolores Brown birthed the idea for L.G. while working at an after school program in an under-served area of Queens, NY. She could see that many of the girls had remarkable potential but needed positive images and positive role models. They needed to see that other girls just like them were doing amazing things.  With a background in fashion and the creative arts, Dolores chose the media as her mode of affecting change.

As of 2011 Lip Gloss added a new member to its executive team.  Lori Cromwell will serve as Director of Marketing and Business Development for the minority teen publication.  With an academic background in international business and several years experience in finance and development, Lori will focus on developing and implementing a growth strategy to bring Lip Gloss to the next level.

“Lip Gloss magazine is chock-full of fashion, culture, humor, good advice and true beauty in all its shades.   There is a definite need for this magazine and I am excited to be a part of the team."  –Lori Cromwell, Lip Gloss Teen Magazine

With retailers jumping at their affordable ad rates and a creative team of young professionals bursting with energy and new ideas, L.G. is poised to take over. This year will bring a new interactive website, a chain of fun events, access to more dynamic celebrities and a host of exciting surprises.
