Yamaha Launch New DTX Range of Electronic Drum Kits
New Yamaha DTX range of electronic drum kits are now available in time for Summer 2011. Yamaha have launched the DTX500K, DTX520K, DTX540K, DTX700K and DTX750K drums, taking the already exceptional and much-loved Yamaha DTX range to the next level.
The new Yamaha DTX500K, DTX520K and DTX540K models share the same DTX500 module. This module comes jam-packed with features including Groove Check and Rhythm Gate. The module is loaded with market leading Motif quality samples which deliver an amazing collection of highly realistic drum sounds. As well as this, it also comes with songs preloaded for you to play along to and practice drumming to different styles. The popular Yamaha Groove Check function will help keep your timing in check, displaying whether you are playing early or late. Rhythm Gate turns practice sessions into a fun game, requiring you to play along to a song in-time. If you are out of time then the sound is muted, punishing you with silence, no drummer likes that!
Where the DTX500 series models differ is in their pad configurations. DTX500K ships with a smaller rack and TP-series drum pads, but comes with a FP6110A bass drum pedal - which is an option with the DTX520 and DTX540. Both the DTX520K and DTX540K come with a RS500 drum rack but feature different pad bundles. The DTX540K comes with the XP series drum pads throughout (XP80 snare and XP70 toms). The DTX520K comes with just an XP80 for snare and TP-series toms.
The DTX700K and DTX750K elevate the DTX series to new heights delivering ultra realistic sounds and DTX-PAD technology. Both share the same DTX700 module which comes loaded with 1,268 quality drum sounds including acoustic, cymbal and percussion voices. As well as these extremely realistic sounds, the module also features a wide array of sounds from the advanced MOTIF XF synthesizer. DTX700K and DTX750K feature Yamaha's 3-zone cymbal pads. These will allow you to create different sounds in the cup, bow and edge zones. There is room for additional pads in both the DTX700K and DTX750K kits too, allowing you to expand your collection of pads if you feel the urge to add some toms or cymbals to your assembly of sound.
Both the DTX700K and DTX750K models feature DTX-PADs, the new industry standard in electronic drum kit pads engineered by Yamaha in collaboration with some of the world's top drummers. The DTX750K comes fully featured with the RS700 rack, and XP80 DTX-pad and an upgraded XP100SD snare. The DTX700K differs from the DTX750K model as it comes with the same pad set as the DTX540K and the RS500 drum rack. Both models come with Groove Check and Rhythm Gate as standard.
