Sri Chinmoy's Incredible Story to be Told Through Film at July's Action on Film Festival

Award-winning producer and director, Sanjay Rawal, will showcase his film, Challenging Impossibility at the seventh annual Action on Film Festival
May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Pasadena, CA -- Sanjay Rawal's documentary on Indian philosopher and weightlifter, Sri Chinmoy, will be featured at this summer's annual Action on Film Festival. Attracting thousands of talented filmmakers and writers, the festival will showcase more than 600 independent films, while also hosting a number of dinner parties and seminars. Rawal's film on Sri Chinmoy's incredible feats will showcase at the AOF festival between July 22-30.

Challenging Impossibility is the story of Sri Chinmoy - Indian philosopher and spiritual leader who took up weightlifting at the age of 54. Defying the notion of age as a barrier to physical development, Chinmoy went on to set personal bests in the thousands at the age of 76.

Producer and co-director Sanjay Rawal says, 'to see Sri Chinmoy in his 70's lifting weights most bodybuilders can't even lift was just incredible.'

In the works for about a year and a half, Rawal and his crew were able to meet with and film many legendary bodybuilders on Chinmoy and the capacity of the human body. Featuring such legends as Bill Pearl, Frank Zane, Hugo Girard, and Mike Katz, Challenging Impossibility illustrates that to achieve greatness, one simply needs unwavering faith in their capabilities.

Of the film, Rawal says, 'we wanted to do more than just entertain viewers - we wanted to inspire them.'
