“SIP Northwest’s mission is to celebrate the wines, brews and spirits of the Pacific Northwest," said publisher Kristin Ackerman, a Washington native whose family has had long ties to the wine industry in the state. "Our goal is to support the industry, illuminate the people who create and nurture these exciting products and discover the diverse regions where they are found.” Ackerman brings more than a decade of experience with luxury lifestyle magazines to SIP.
Award-winning editor, writer and photographer with more than 30 years of travel, food and lifestyle coverage, George Fuller, editorial director of SIP, oversees an experienced and renowned group of regional editors in Portland, Seattle and British Columbia, including internationally acclaimed wine reviewer and James Beard Foundation Award-winner, Anthony Dias Blue, the magazine's wine guru and senior reviewer. Trae Walker oversees the national sales effort for the niche magazine as national advertising director.
SIP Northwest’s print circulation of 50,000 will be complimented by a digital platform with iPad and iPhone applications through iTunes. A digital version of the magazine will enjoy a circulation of 100,000 each issue.
“SIP will be making a strong footprint in the community through our 'SIP Series' of events held throughout the year. They will bring our readers together with our advertising partners and writers,” said Ackerman. “In addition to advertising in the magazine, advertisers will have additional reach to a highly educated, affluent and niche audience through our community events and social media efforts.”
SIP will have special introductory advertising rates for the two issues produced in 2011 and an opportunity to lock in 2011 rates for 2012 with a frequency commitment. SIP invites companies to participate in the "Gift Subscription"
“We are fortunate to have a stellar editorial team who will bring the region’s wine, brew and craft stories to life. For anyone interested in editorial, I invite them to submit calendar items and current press releases to our editorial staff for consideration,”
