Aquatech Dewatering Opens New Branch in Sudbury, Ontario

May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Aquatech Dewatering Company and Aquatech Pump and Power announced the opening of their new Sudbury, Ontario Branch on May 1st of this year.

The Sudbury Branch is Aquatech’s third full service branch in Ontario; the head office in Concord and the Eastern Ontario branch in Ottawa.

The new branch is strategically located in close proximity to Northern Ontario’s surging mining sector which is demanding stronger and more specialized pumping and dewatering services. Environmental regulations and more challenging requirements have enhanced the need of this specialized dewatering and pumping company to provide their services to this area.

“We chose the Sudbury location to provide immediate equipment rental and sales, and full service support to the mining sector throughout Northern Ontario, and to support our ongoing business with municipal, industrial and construction clients; including emergency response,” said Andy Ingriselli, Aquatech’s President. “This location complements our existing operations from satellite locations throughout the region, and it now allows us to offer our full suite of key specialty services including; emergency pumping, dewatering, bypass pumping, environmental mitigation, and dredging services.”

The new facility, approximately 2,000 square feet of office space; 10,000 square feet of shop and two acres of outdoor equipment storage is prime to house the diverse portable pumping equipment fleet, large inventory of pipe, hose, fittings and monitoring equipment, as well as discharge filtration equipment to support local industry demands.
Aquatech’s support of the mining and construction industry includes pumps for use in excavation dewatering, open-pit mine dewatering, creek bypass, sewer bypass, pond drainage, tailings and sludge product transfer, temporary fire water and plant feed water service, product transfer on long pipelines and temporary bypass of water distribution systems.
