May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Earthbound Media Group (EMG) announces its upcoming  webinar entitled “Customizing Your Content Management System (CMS) to Work for Your Higher Education Institution” to be co-presented with CMS vendor partner Ektron on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. (PST). Hosting the webinar will be EMG’s Client Services Director Meredith Bunche and Ektron’s Social Strategist and Partner Alliance Manager Michael Pascucci. The two will focus on the top five challenges Higher Education Institutions face in managing web content and will provide insights on how using a customized CMS can help marketers solve these issues while creating a better and more efficient user experience.

“Having recently worked with Ektron on an extensive content migration and CMS customization project, I know how beneficial their technology coupled with our technical and marketing strategy can be,” said Bunche. “I look forward to sharing the wealth of knowledge I gained while working with their solution and am anxious to offer the webinar attendees the opportunity to obtain the same insights. I’m honored to partner with Ektron once again.”

Understanding that an educational institution’s website is one of its primary recruitment channels, EMG and Ektron have teamed up on several projects in the past and most recently completed a project with a private east coast university that involved migrating more than one thousand pages of content from the institution’s previous CMS to a customized version of Ektron’s CMS program CMS400.NET. With this experience at the center of the narrative, EMG and Ektron will provide an overview of the CMS selection and customization processes, presenting best practices and expected outcomes to help shape the audience’s experiences with these processes – both present and future – for success.

With more than twelve years experience serving higher education clients such as the University of Southern California, Chapman University, Hood College, Teachers College, Loyola Marymount University, the University of California Irvine, American Sentinel University and The Art Institutes to name a few, EMG provides the strategic insight and support necessary for higher education clients to effectively select and successfully implement a CMS to best meet the changing demands of their target audiences as well as their organizations.
