Signature Ink Models & Co. will be Raising Money & Awareness to support The Visually Impaired & Blind community and providing information and ways to help those with this challenge.

May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Baltimore, MD, May 16, 2011:  S.T.A.R.E Charity Fashion Show Production, produced by Danielle Baker, the CEO of Signature Ink Models & Co. is celebrating 9 years of being in the Fashion Industry.  They are excited about bringing awareness to the visually impaired and blind community. Ms. Baker wants them to have an equal opportunity to reach their fullest potential and participate more in society. This Charity Fashion Show will take place in Baltimore MD at 7pm on Saturday June, 25, 2011 at the “DuBurns Arena” located at 1301 South Ellwood Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224

STARE Charity Fashion Show Production will be raising the awareness by using one the highest visually forms of art, “Fashion,” covering styles that include Couture, Vintage, GLAM, Tribal, Ready to Wear, and Chic & GQ. This production will showcase boutiques and talented fashion designers locally and nationally from Baltimore’s award winning designer, Carl Trogan of Alex Risimnic Couture to Jeantrix of New York City. The backstage beauty team features top Makeup Artist & Hair Salons that include, but not limited to, All Dolled Up, SYLK Cosmetics, Next Level Salon, & Art Salon. The area’s top models will be accessorized by B.Foxy Jewelry & Accessories.

This event hopes to raise public awareness of blindness and its prevention, detection, and treatment. The audience will witness the ultimate tribute to the visually impaired and the blind. During the tribute, models will walk blindfolded on the runway and the audience will be asked to put on their glasses or shades. Makeovers will be given to those who are visually impaired. In conjunction with this event, collection bins will be set up for people to recycle eyeglass frames. Free eye exams will be taking place and an exhibit informational booth will be present. Exhibit booths will give out information on the blind and visually impaired, offer ways to support family and friends with this challenge, as well as, suggest prevention for damaging your sight.

Each quarter, Signature Ink Models & Co. continues to work to help make a difference in the community.  Through fashion shows, workshops, public speaking and mentoring, they have donated and or raised money in the past for The Children’s Mission, Inc, Operation Timothy, Mays Woodson Academy, Prevent A Child Abuse, Stop Human-trafficking Heel-A-Thon, Breast Cancer Awareness, and AIDS Awareness. They anticipate a huge turnout for this event and fully expect Signature Ink Models & Co. to go beyond its inception year.

A portion of all proceeds will go to the Blind Industries of Maryland, a non-profit foundation whose purpose is to positively change people's attitudes about blindness. They do this by offering comprehensive rehabilitation programs, diverse employment opportunities, and services for blind and low vision people of all ages.
