After breaking all box office records for live attendance at 115 Bourbon Street, AAW Wrestling's "EPIC" event debuts this Friday May 20th, 2011 on iPPV through www.GFL.tv. For only $9.95, fans who were at the event or who missed it live and wanted to see what they missed will be able to see the entire event on demand through Go Fight Live (www.gfl.tv) "The entire wrestling world has been talking about 'EPIC'," said AAW General Manager Danny Daniels. "From the Wrestling Observer to Monday Night Mayhem to 411Mania.com, everyone who covers the world of professional wrestling has been focusing on 'EPIC'!". When AAW announced the arrival of Smashing Pumpkins' leader Billy Corgan last month, recognition went though the roof for the young upstart company. "My phone wouldn't stop ringing," said AAW Talent Director Jacques Baron. "I literally had to stop taking interview and media requests about the show a week before it happened!". And with good reason - "EPIC" had proven a first in AAW history, a complete sell out of all reserved tickets. "The wrestling fans were there to see the best wrestlers in the world that AAW is known to provide," said Baron. "Add a rock icon like Billy Corgan to the mix and it's like throwing kerosene on an already raging fire!". Corgan's role was vague until the show started last Friday May 13th, 2011 at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, IL. "We honestly had no idea what Billy had in store for us and our audience," said Executive Producer Mike Petkovich. "By the end of the show, Billy made his intentions known to everybody in the building and we were all left in shock." Corgan has always been known as a creative genius in his field, but some fans felt that he may have crossed the line at "EPIC". "I consider myself a big Smashing Pumpkins fan - I have all of their albums and was excited to see what Billy had in store for AAW," said fan Justin Malenius. "By the end of the show I was left thinking that what happened involving Billy at 'EPIC' was not cool and made us all feel like clowns." Not everyone felt the same way about Corgan. "Billy did exactly what he said he was going to do at 'EPIC' - make a statement about the future of AAW that would change it forever," said AAW Marketing Director Gabriel Baron. "Billy has raised people's awareness of AAW to an all-time high and will make them stand up and take notice of the company. I, for one, applaud Mr. Corgan and look forward to working with him again should he decide to grace us with his presence." Fans who want to see just what happened with Billy Corgan and the rest of AAW at "EPIC" can go to www.gfl.tv starting Friday May 20th, 2011 and see the entire show for just $9.95 whenever - and wherever - they want.
