| Buena Vida 2011 Wii Masters ChampionBuena Vida's awarded the Buena Vida Green Jacket to Fred Hall during its inaugural Wii Masters Golf Championship
The tournament, which will now be held during the first two week of April, encourages play from all levels and abilities. Participants were able to play “practice rounds” before the real competition began. Players had to complete 4 rounds of 9 holes. 14 people entered the tournament. Mr. Hall, a resident of Buena Vida Estates since 2003 is an avid Wii enthusiast and practices Wii on a regular basis. Hall, a former golfer enjoys the challenge and camaraderie of the “Playing golf on the Wii is almost better than playing live, smiles Hall. “I can play Wii when it is raining outside or at nighttime, which was something I couldn’t do with golf.” As the first winner of the Buena Vida Green Jacket, Fred Hall has a tradition to uphold. “I look forward to winning many more Green Jackets, exclaims Hall. “I plan to win a jacket for every day of the week.” Competition will be fierce as more and more Buena Vida residents compete for the coveted prize. Second place winner receives a Green Beret, which was awarded to Bobbi Grimes. “Fred better watch out, states Grimes, it is always harder to stay on top of the mountain than to climb it.” Buena Vida Estates is approaching its 29-year anniversary and is the only not-for-profit, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Brevard County, Florida.
