PODS delivers 200 storage containers to Birmingham to help with tornado recovery efforts

May 18, 2011 - PRLog -- PODS location receives containers, opens additional staging area to meet overwhelming demand for storage as communities recover and rebuild.

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) – As communities throughout Alabama recover from the devastation caused by recent tornado outbreaks, PODS of Birmingham announced the opening of an additional staging area in Tuscaloosa on May 9 to service customers in need.

John O. Hearin and Mike Breaux, general managers with PODS of Birmingham, said more than 200 additional PODS® storage containers were shipped to Tuscaloosa from surrounding franchises and PODS corporate headquarters in Clearwater, Fla.

“Unfortunately, we have been through this before and have seen the devastation caused by Katrina and other hurricanes,” Breaux said. “Our hearts go out to those who have been affected. We are exhausting every resource possible to provide PODS® containers to community members, businesses and organizations as we recover and rebuild.”
