New Leaf Announces Facebook Contest with American Idol Star and Taste-Maker, Andrew Garcia

May 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA - New Leaf Brands (OTC-BB: NLEF) announced today that they have signed a deal to work with former American Idol contestant Andrew Garcia on a new promotional campaign. Garcia, one of the most beloved contestants on Season 9 of American Idol, has agreed to record a jingle for New Leaf with the winner of their latest Facebook contest, which will launch May 20, 2011 and will run through July 1, 2011.  

New Leaf Brands will announce the contest via Facebook and Twitter, which will offer their fans the opportunity to write a jingle for the brand. Submissions will be accepted in video form only.  Once the Top 10 videos have been selected, 5 by New Leaf and 5 by Garcia, they will then be promoted through social media where fans will vote for, and ultimately determine, the winner. 'This is truly unique and original and shows how much this company cares about their fans, it will be a lot of fun!" says former American Idol Contestant Andrew Garcia.

New Leaf will fly the winner out to Los Angeles  to record the jingle with Garcia. The two-day prize package includes airfare and hotel accommodations.  "We are honored and flattered that Andrew is working with us, it is truly a big day for all of us at New Leaf" Says New Leaf CEO Eric Skae.
