Scarletta Press announces their award-winning finalists

Authors Pamela Cory, Pendred Noyce, and Leonard Borman have all received recognition for their great writing with selections as Award-Winning Finalists.

May 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Scarletta Press is excited to announce the selection of Pamela Cory’s Hassie Calhoun: A Las Vegas Novel of Innocence as an Award-Winning Finalist for two awards and Pendred Noyce’s Lost in Lexicon: An Adventure in Words and Numbers as an Award-Winning Finalist for one award. Pendred’s novel has made it to the finalist round for three other awards, and Leonard Borman’s Our Jewish Robot Future is up for an award also.

Pamela Cory’s novel has been selected as a Finalist for "New Fiction" in the 2011 National Indie Excellence Awards®! Ellen Reid, President & CEO, announced the winners and finalists of the awards on May 15, 2011. In it’s fifth year running, the National Indie Excellence Awards are full of tough competition.

Pamela Cory's Hassie Calhoun: A Las Vegas Novel of Innocence and Pendred Noyce's Lost in Lexicon: An Adventure in Words and Numbers have been named finalists in the 2011 International Book Awards (IBAs) hosted by JPX Media Group. JPX Media Group announced the winners and finalists of the 2011 IBAs on May 11, 2011. Over 300 winners and finalists were announced in over 140 categories covering print and audio books. Awards were presented for titles published in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Hassie Calhoun received recognition in the “Fiction: Literary Fiction” category, and Lost in Lexicon received recognition in the “Children’s Fiction” category.

Pendred Noyce’s book has been posted as finalist in IBPA’s Benjamin Franklin Awards for “Interior Design.” Winners for the Benjamin Franklin Awards will be announced on May 23, 2011, at the Jacob K. Javitz Center in New York City.

ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Awards (BOTYAs) posted Lost in Lexicon as a finalist in two categories: “Young Adult Fiction” and “Juvenile Fiction.”  Leonard Borman’s novel has also been posted as a finalist for the BOTYAs in the “Fiction - Science Fiction” category. Winners for ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Awards will be announced at the American Library Association Conference on June 25, 2011, in New Orleans.

NOTE: Pamela Cory will be appearing at BEA 2011 with Scarletta Press, booth 4633-A, and will tour the first half of June. Pendred Noyce will be appearing at the ALA conference with Publishers Group West, booth 1248, and will tour during parts of July and August. Pendred Noyce and Leonard Borman will both make appearances at BEA also.
