The Company:
Soumya Mitra, a Silicon Valley computer technology veteran and an avid photographer and videographer was searching for a professional quality immersive sound microphone which is affordable, portable and rugged for professional field use. Unfortunately there was no such microphone available in the market, so he has decided to build one for himself. After working several months at his garage workshop, he has designed a patent pending prototype. The test results were simply amazing. Encouraged by the feedback from professional sound engineers and videographers, Soumya decided to debut the microphone as 3D Mic Pro for the professional and prosumer users. Soumya has a B.S in physics from University of Calcutta, B.Tch in information systems from BITS Pilani and has an MBA from Santa Clara University. Before founding Mitra Corp.
