Wright-Ryan Construction Welcomes New Employees

(PORTLAND) – Wright-Ryan Construction, Inc. welcomes four new, talented employees, both in the office and in the field, to support the continued growth and development of the firm.
 
May 17, 2011 - PRLog -- (PORTLAND) – Wright-Ryan Construction, Inc. welcomes four new, talented employees, both in the office and in the field, to support the continued growth and development of the firm.  

Ben Jamo joined the company as a Commercial Field Superintendent.  Ben graduated from the University of Maine in 2006 and came to Wright-Ryan from Shawmut Design and Construction in Boston, Massachusetts. Over the last five years, Ben has gained an extensive and impressive background in large, institutional construction projects including those for Harvard, Tufts and Wheelock. Ben will be coordinating all site construction activities, schedules and supervising all field personnel to successfully complete projects. Originally from Maine, Ben decided to move home to raise his young family outside of Freeport.

Patrick Skall has been hired as a Commercial Assistant Project Manager.  Originally from the Bangor area, Pat came to Wright-Ryan from Shawmut Design and Construction in Boston, Massachusetts. His strong background includes a tour in Baghdad Iraq with the 447th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron with the United States Air Force, academic honors, community involvement, and experience with Nickerson O’Day as Project Engineer. In his position, Patrick will assist Project Managers in organizing, administering and coordinating all elements involved in constructing a successful project.

Tyson Abbott is Wright-Ryan’s newest Foreman in both Commercial and Residential construction. Originally from North Carolina, Tyson has strong ties to Maine with family in the Southern Maine area. As a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Appalachian State University, Tyson comes to Wright-Ryan from Rictur, Inc. in Boone, North Carolina where he quickly rose through the ranks from Carpenter to Superintendent. At Wright-Ryan, Tyson will support the Project Superintendents by leading work crews on various project sites.

Rodney Collard will serve as a Commercial Project Engineer. He comes to Wright-Ryan as a recent graduate of the University of Southern Maine’s Construction Management program. Rodney is one of only 10  graduating students at USM to pass the difficult American Institute of Constructors, Associate Constructor – AC Exam. This exam tests the knowledge and ability in 10 specific area of construction management and identifies practitioners possessing the highest standards of practice, proven skills and the prerequisite knowledge to manage the construction process. Throughout college Rodney spent time as a self-employed carpenter and Construction Field Technologist at R.W. Gillespie.  His position at Wright-Ryan will be of support to Project Management.
