Kalenna speaks-up for Lupus and gives back to single moms while on tour

A partner and supporter of the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA), Kalenna's need to actively work with the organization grew when her 18-year-old sister suffered and eventually died as a result of the disease.

"My sister was very dear to me and watching her ordeal made me want to do more. I am dedicated to working with LFA to raise awareness as well as my own organization, the I Heart Kalenna Foundation, where my goal is to personally touch those in need," she says.

Kalenna is amongst several other celebrities lending their voice to the cause this month including: LFA Global Ambassador and musician, Julian Lennon; LFA’s 2011 Walk for Lupus Now® Grand Marshal, Eduardo Xol, from ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition; and Busy Philipps from ABC’s
Cougar Town.

Kalenna made sure to personally touch fans during the Coming Home Tour. She met with single moms backstage before the group's performance in several tour cities.

Kalenna is eagerly anticipating the launch of her nonprofit organization, the I Heart Kalenna Foundation, and wants to touch and bless as many as possible until the big reveal. She will continue on this path with even grander jesters as the official launch nears.
