The Kem Kimbrough Foundation Now Accepting Applications for Grants

Clayton County Sheriff Kem Kimbrough and the Kem Kimbrough Foundation Accepting Applications for Grants to Support Youth Non-Profits and Clayton County Public Safety Officers

May 16, 2011 - PRLog -- The Kem Kimbrough Foundation (KKF), a 501c3 non-profit who strives to make Clayton County a better place, recently announced they are now accepting applications for their KKF Grants Program to assist public safety workers in need and local non-profits servicing youth.

With a struggling economy, it can be difficult for anyone to maintain when it comes to bills and everyday expenses. Non-profit organizations experience fewer donations and the public safety workers, who work hard for the community, face unfortunate ordeals where extra assistance is needed. The goal of the KKF Grant is to alleviate financial stress many residents are facing during this time of economic stress.

To qualify for a KKF Grant,  applicants must be a 501c3 non-profit organization that assists youth of Clayton County Georgia or an active or retired Clayton County Public Safety Officer (Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Police Officer, Sheriff Deputy, etc.), in need of medical or dire financial assistance for themselves, legal children or spouses. Grant recipients must provide written documentation on how the grant funds will be used and proof of how the awarded amount will be spent. Grants will be awarded during the KKF foundation reception scheduled to take place on June 30th, 2011.

Applications are available by contacting Insights Marketing at 404.872.9899, or by submitting an email to:  kkfprograms@gmail.com. Applications must be received by 5pm EST on Monday, June 13th to be considered.
