Follow on Google News | ORGENTEC Diagnostika: Liver Diagnostics by Immunoblot Test SystemORGENTEC has developed a new lab test for diagnosing autoimmune liver diseases. The immunoblot is suitable for initial and differential diagnosis in cases of ambiguous symptoms or for differentiation of a positive result from screening tests.
Liver-9-Line facilitates the rapid and cost-effective diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis (type 1 and type 2 AIH) and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) in a single step. The test system also allows for the reliable differentiation of these autoimmune diseases from other diseases of the liver. This immunoblot is suitable for initial and differential diagnosis in cases of ambiguous symptomatology or for differentiation of a positive result from screening carried out with ELISA or immunofluorescence tests. The comprehensive set of antigens included in this new immunoblot is unique on the market: In addition to the three ASMAs, F-actin, myosin, and desmin, Liver-9-Line also detects antibodies against soluble liver antigen (SLA/LP), liver kidney microsomal type 1 (LKM-1), and liver cytosol antigen type 1 (LC1). The PBC-typical autoantibodies detected by this immunoblot include AMA-M2 as well as antibodies against Sp100 and gp210. The analytical software from ORGENTEC Diagnostika allows for the automated evaluation of the immunoblots. The iVISION Scanware makes it possible to objectively analyze and securely archive test data. Overview of the antigens used in the Liver-9-Line test: M2, Sp100, gp210, SLA/LP, LKM-1, LC1, F-actin, desmin, myosin. Liver-9-Line is available in packages of 8 or 16 immunoblot strips, all reagents are ready for immediate use. Each individual blot strip includes serum, conjugate control, and cut-off control, as well as an individual code that eliminates accidental mix-ups. - www.orgentec.com # # # ORGENTEC Diagnostika GmbH is based in Mainz and is a global leader in the development, production, and marketing of test systems for laboratory diagnostics.
